the rear brake lights?

And does PIAA or HOEN make bulbs for the turn signals or reverse?

Does anyone know the bulb numbers?

Default My advice is to not put higher wattage bulbs in our cars...

I haven't seen problems with the rears (only because nobody has tried yet), but higher wattage bulbs in the fronts have a tendency to burn the relays between the bulbs and the switch. This turns into a couple hundred bucks in repairs. This was a common occurace with the B5 crowd who tried out the 70watt fake xenon bulbs. Cheers! Mike

Default Nah...they're plenty easy to find...at least LED ones are.

It's just that LEDs have a narrow field of view, so they must be angled directly behind the car. The problem is, the socket for the brakelight is angled at a 45 degree angle to the back of the car (and the housing has reflectors that direct the light backwards). This wouldn't work with LEDs.

^^The bulb on the far left is the brakelight^^

Default Np...btw interesting tidbit.

The car notifies you specifically which bulb is out. I tried it with all of the bulbs...heck, it even tells you about the foglight. And what's more, you don't have to turn the light on for it to tell you it's blown.

Smart car, eh?

Before I disassembled the unit, I knew it did it with the brakelights, but not the others.
