LED BULBS?
I know there are many threads about Led Bulbs , however many of those are dated. Has anyone come up with an H11 or H7 purchased from Amazon ? I was able to purchase new D2S bulbs that have a brighter blue output. I am looking to get brighter high beams & fog lights.

Within the last two weeks I've ordered LEDs from Amazon for the high beams (H10) and for the fog lights (H11). Both sets were on the cheap-end, but seem OK so-far. The high beams were "Alla Lighting 9145 H10" at $17 per pair. The fogs were "XOVY H11" at $16 per pair, and even include tiny cooling fans, which make a little whining sound that you can hear with the engine off and standing in front of the car. While I was at it, I ordered a new B6 fog light set by "Autowiki" because my original fog light lenses were totally pitted;. About $39. I chose these because they have glass lenses.
The H10 LEDs high beams seem to throw a nice beam ahead when aimed. Be sure to reaserch how to adjust both high and low using 5mm hex drivers if you don't already.

Mine's a 2004-build (2005 model year) B6 sedan. Definitely H10s for the high beams, H11s for the fogs on mine. I do see different bulbs specified for the highs (H7?), but that's how my A4 is set up.

The H11 specification says 30W each, which I am skeptical about even though they have the fan. The H10 is specified at 8.5W, which seems reasonable. Alla Lighting also makes a H11 for the fogs, also speced at 8.5W.
Have you removed your light assemblies yet? It's really pretty easy, as long as you have a T30 Torx bit on a long (say 1 foot) 1/4" extension, a Phillips screwdriver for the intake duct, a 10mm socket to remove the two power steering reservoir screws (this may need to be pushed aside a little), and a flat-blade tool to disconnect the electrical connectors, such as the blade of your ignition key. Once the duct is out and the reservoir loose, remove the two Torx head screws at the top of each headlight. The two lower screws only need to be loosened, not removed. The headlight will then slide forward, at which point you release the catch of the electrical connectors, and disconnect them. To open the rear cover of the headlights, you will need a T20 tool I believe. Each headlight has two adjustment hex sockets on top; mine had white plastic plugs covering them.

So I am guessing the 30 watt is probably closer to halogen and that would make sense. I can't see how the 8.5 watt would not give any error codes unless it has a built in decoder ?

I haven't had any lighting codes, so I suspect that the light monitor doesn't check the high-beams or the fog lights. My owner's manual was not very helpful about this.
