List/Buying Prices
Also the KBB valves are wrong. dont fall for it. use Edmunds or NADA. they show the real market value prices. if you look at kbb it will throw a wild price. like now im looking for a DD as my car and found a corolla. kbb says 6500 for a 2002 corolla with 60k while edmunds and nada are around a more realistic, down to earth price of 4500.
for 16k you should be able to find a newer model a4 06+ for that much money. you can even get the 2.7t a6 sline for less that.
also if you are looking for a automatic stay far away as possible from the FWD versions. the cvt tranny are garbage.
i just looked in houston craigslist and found a 07 a4 with 69k for 13. keep looking you will find one.
I have found 2 04 s-lines / USPs in my area. Both had 1.8t's, one was quattro manual (6 speed) and one was fwd manual (5 speed). The quattro was at 12K asking which means I probably could have gotten it for 10.5K or 11K. It had 80K miles. It was sold before I hasd a chance to negotiate. The fwd had 65K miles and was 10K asking price, which means 9K. I didn't get the green light from the wife on it. Anyway, I would look at what other Audi's are selling for in your area and determine a price point based on that.
Also as a side note, I paid $4500 for my 02 sport (no s-line / USPs in 02). It had 182K miles when I bought it. It now has over 200K and still running strong. It did need some work (kid I bought it from couldn't afford the TB, steering rack, and window regulator), but the basic bones were good and it had good records.
