Default Logging block 003 question...

While running a few WOT 3rd gear pulls I noticed that my throttle dips for a second under boost to 99%. I can feel the throttle dip, kinda feels like a surg. My timing, fuel, and boost are within limits, any ideas why the ECU is pulling my foot off the gas? MAF?

Default Re: Post your MAF log and we can tell you.

Here's my log. My MAF values are a little low, but I think that's because the APR(+) software is throwing so much timing. I have already aligned the throttle body, didn't help.

BTW; The IAT temps were good, I have a FMIC and it was 50deg outside. It does look like I'm leaning slightly when boost hits, but I don't think that it is significant enough for the surge. Maybe I will lemmi in more increasing fuel to see if that helps.

Default I would say if your running apr with a ko3 then those MAF values look ok...

I am running revo k04 software and my maf peaks at like 180. So i think that bout right.

However, if your feeling a surge at wot, you should log your air intake temps. I forget the block number. Do about three wot pulls and post up the results. I'm suggesting this because you are pulling quite a bit more timing than "I" would like to see if it was my car. Maybe your IC or fmic is inefficient causing you to boost warmer air than your engine would like to see, and as a reaction you are pulling more timing and surging.

I would also log actual and specified Boost, and exhaust gas temps. You dont want your egts to be more than 900 degc on a wot pull. if they are then something is not running right and your engine is running very hot and unhappy.

Default My IAT...

are roughly 5-10 degrees over ambient and never climb more than 5 degrees on a WOT pull, I have a ER sport by the way.
My actual, and requested boost are only off by +/- 100mb max.
My egt's were on the log I posted, the only way I can break 900 deg is if I do more than 2 logs back to back. The temps usually climb to 850 and hold to red-line.
Any other ideas, blocks to check. I know the problem probably lies in the software, will just have to wait for tax time to switch to a revo k04 program.
Thanks for your 2 cents though.

Default Everything sounds in check. Its prolly that apr software. I had apr stage 1

before my revo setup and i remember i had surging issues also around 2500 rpm...

If you want to see high iats and egts, look below. This was logged this past summer when it was 85 deg. My FMIC has to be replaced with that ER one.

Default I guess I have just been in denial...

Tom @ apr said the problem was because I was running genesis injectors, so I switched them out with my uncles TT. With the Bosch injectors I had to lemmi in even more fuel to prevent a lean CEL (and my uncle said his TT had a better throttle response with the genesis 380's). I guess the one size fits all software approach just doesn't work for some cars.
Can't wait to join the k04 club.

K04 is fun, but still slow.
