Looking for a dealer? Brian Cook at Downtown LA Audi rocks!!!
First off, I would like to thank all of you who contribute to these AudiWorld forums- you have all been so helpful to me! I was in a quandary as to which dealership to buy from (or who NOT to buy from), which salesperson to work with, and just everything and anything about joining the club of A4 owners. And since I figured I couldn't be the only new owner-to-be out there, I would like to share my experience acquiring our new A4 this past weekend.
After 5 months of research, I decided to go with either McKenna or Downtown LA Audi, and Brian Cook was the first person to call me back. But I put it off (I have always been leery of dealers), and after TWO bad experiences with McKenna Audi, I finally gave Brian a call back. He was pleasant, friendly, PATIENT!, informative, and just downright nice. And it got even better once we made it down to the dealership. I pointed out 5 cars I wanted to look at, he brought out all the keys, and we looked at each one by one. After deciding on "The One" (2003 1.8T Quattro Dolphin/Gray leather), he took us out on a long, 20+ minute test drive. We then spent nearly 2 hours talking business and eventually settled on a price (w/ the aid of Gary, one of the managers-also very nice and honest). Then we braced ourselves for the finance side of it. Again, we were pleasantly surprised- after a skeezy past experience with Cerritos Nissan, I expected the numbers to change and "new" costs and a different rate to appear on the contract, but none of that happened. And their rate couldn't be beat- 4.9% for 60 months! Sevan (the finance guy) was wonderful!
All in all, Brian, Gary, and Sevan at DT LA Audi have changed my perception of how car buying should be. All 3 of them were patient, attentive, courteous, and treated us no different than a couple trying to buy a Porsche Carrera. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the professionalism of the dealership and with our beautiful new A4! For anyone looking for a new Audi, Porsche, or VW- Go see Brian!!!!
I know I probably sound like a broken record, but I've dealt with a lot of dealers (I worked in auto/consumer loan department for Bank of America for 5+ years), both on the business side and the consumer side. And I know a lot about cars, which has often shocked many dealers. But during the 4 hours I was there, not once did Ifeel disrespected, belittled, argumentative, or threatened. Which is exactly how car buying should be!
Good luck and thanks again!
