b/c legally it's better to underrate than to overrate... overrating would be a failure to deliver...
while who in his/her right of mind is gonna complain they're getting more than what they bargain for?!!?

my car dynos about 10% more than they claim...
they understate so they are not put in a position to face problems with certification. that way if they have a car that dynos a little heat soaked it's not an issue as much. If you had to consistently prove your chip made 205 hp or else, would you rate it right at 205? I wouldnt. cheers! Mike

Edited, not sure what MTM claims for their 1 plus, but who was the guy that was all pissed

about his MTM set-up
I have GIAC 1+ and I am not sure how much power it is making but I know it is the first time they have done it for the B6 A4 1.8T
I also know that I gained over 40 horsepower at the wheels.
Now I belive that drivetrain loss is a generally accepted idea, albeit not all opinions the same.
I ask well lets say that my GIAC injector file could not possibly put out more power then the MTM injector program who claims 205 I think someone said. If this is true then how do I explain an over 40 horsepower increase at the wheels but less at the flywheel.
I am interested in hearing some peoples thoughts.
