Need Advice: Tire is gone with 27k, paint needs waxing
#12
Depends on if your paint has any imperfections to it..
(swirl marks, deposits, tar, etc.)
If not, after a fresh wash, I recommend a application of Menzerna FP) followed by a layer of P21S GEPC. Finish off with you favorite wax. The previous links both have some excellent products and advice on protecting your car.
If you do have swirls and other issues, start of course with a wash. After this, feel your paint. If it's not smooth to the touch, pick up Claymagic Claybar from Autozone, but be sure to follow the included directions. After this start off with Menzerna IP, then fllow up with the Menzerna FP, then GEPC, and finally a coat or two of wax.
Be sure to use some microfiber towel for application and removal of the polishes. After you're done, make sure you pick up a good quality soap from either one of the links. Do not use Dawn and other similar soaps! These will strip off all the work you just did. I use these products and have had excellent results. A very deep shine that lasts. Good Luck!

Kumho ECSTA 712s SUCK...Had them on my Jetta and would never buy them again...
The Yokos are very nive though...I've got 10k on mine and they are still very quiet and are wearing well...I'll easily get another 10-15k out of them.

Agreed. Prep work will make the biggest difference. I've tried Platinum UPP, Poorboys EX
and Blackfire with excellent results. You can use Turtle Wax and get good results if you do the prep work. IMHO.
