Default Toyo PROXES 4

I have them in 235/35-19 and so far they handle great in dry conditions. They should see 30K+ miles too.

So which Falken did you have and how many miles?

Default Stale thread post: My PX4's are pretty stretched on my sportecs...no rim protection at all.

Even with the "rim protector" rib, doesn't even come close.

The widest "235" tire I've ever seen (eventhough they're labelled 235 tires still have a lot of variation) were contisport 2's. They're a better tire than these PX4's I have.

Not to bust Chris's ***** or anything, but these really aren't a great tire for what they're supposed to be. At least not up here in the pacnw where M&S tires are put to the test. When the tires are cold they have no traction at all, I can even get traction control flashing pulling away from a stop in my 3.0 tip.

They're cheap enough though.

But after they wear out (hopefully soon) I'll be switching to something a little wider.

The only plus of the tires being so stretched to fit an 8.5 rim is that the tread block is so rounded it doesn't follow ruts.

Default My Proxes 4's rim bead is about flush with my HRE's....

The Nitto NT555 235/35-19 was pretty much the same on 8.5" width rim.

Default I'll have to post up a pic someday...on my sportecs they're super stretched.

Almost look like those euro cars where the lip sticks out half an inch past the tire.
