NEVER try to do business with ABT_SUN..rant inside
I am a B5 owner. I offered to buy his classified-advertised sport package 2003 17"s with 235/45/17 rubber with certain conditions including COD, as I have heard from tons of people that they either will, wont, or might fit on my car (the tires being too tall, not the wheels). With enough info, COD is basically a sellers best way to stand behind their product. Well, he refused, which was just one part of the problem. He then went on to tell me that his friend had no problem runnign a B5 chassis with AND I QUOTE "235/45/19"s. Now I don't know what kind of BS that is, but only a truck usually runs 45 sidewall on a 19 inch wheel. Beyond that, he seemed eager to persuade me the wheels would fit, without offering any pictures or proof.
I offered to try and fit the wheels, and return them at my cost, just because I liked them. He told me that I'm 16 years old and snot-nosed (im 22 and can replace my own rear wheel bearings thanks) and that his WORD is his garuntee, and he didn't want me stealing his wheels. He also wished that my quattro would fall out from my tranny.
He should be lucky my 1996 A4 has stayed together and provided Audi with the $ to even build a B6. I hope that not everyone with a B6 shares the same feelings toward other Audi owners who are interested in professional dealings, but don't have the "vastly improved wheel-wells to fit such grandeous tires". Ugh. =(

Yeah, the classifieds seem pretty good other than the fact you dont have major fraud backing...
but Ebay is slacktackular about that anyways. FWIW, the classifieds here are new, and so there aren't a whole lot of ads, I expect it to get higher-traffic in a week or two.
