Default New to Audi - timing belt question

I just purchased my first Audi -2005 1.8T

It has 75k miles on it and the timing belts have never been replaced. Audi recommended that I replace them at their 75k mile interval service. I looked at the belts and they are not cracked or dry...is it really necessary to replace these belts already? I have never replaced belts on a car that has less than 100k miles on it.

Thanks!

Yes. Timing belt should be replaced around the 75k mile mark.
Do the waterpump as well.
We've got great kits that include everything you need.

Does your kit include instructions.

I just did one with a BlauParts kit which came with instructions. The instructions were so incomplete that you were better off with no instructions. Thumbs down.

They do not. We recommend picking up the official Bentley service manual if you intend to DIY.

Im at 79,600 at still on the original belts. FYI, you can't visually see the timing belt without removing the water pump and the timing cover. The belt you see is the serpentine belt which runs the accessories such as alternator, A/C, etc.
