were you able to get the USP grill surround separately or did you have to buy the entire grill...
assembly with trim then just remove USP grill section and replace with S4?
I always wanted to do that...right now I have the eddieman style trimmed S4 lower grill on stock a4 lower..but the USP is the way to go...

Not much to it...I explained the process below (more details inside)
When trimming the S4 grille insert, try to cut the slats at an angle that matches where they will press against the frame of the grille. This will minimize scratching the frame and look more OEM. I used a utility knife and a small hacksaw to get everything right. Also, I had to cut two small notches into the inside lip of the bumper cover so the retaining clips on the grille will hold it in place. These notches are not visible once the grille is installed. Remember, I did the DIY Ultrasport lip conversion, so this may not be necessary if you have a true Ultrasport upper bumper. Any questions, just ask!
