Default not so newbie question

I am picking up a 05 Avant special edition tomorrow. I cannot claim to be a newbie since this is my 3rd Audi (plus 3 Passat B5.5s in our house). Just want to know, does the 05 1.8T already have the 710N valve? I did them to my allroad and found a lot of improvement. Thanks in advance.

Default I do not believe the 1.8T ever came with the 710N from the factory. I'd just

get one from Carson and put it in.

Default 710"N" has been superceded to the "P", ...

and the P is a better valve.

Default Maybe, but testing "in hand" is irrelevant to installed conditions. ...

The "P" version is made from better materials and has a guided diaphragm.

Default Looks like I opened a small can of worms

Thanks for everyone's replies. So the answer is NO, but not sure about going with 710N or 710P. I would think the valve body should be made of the same materials, but there may be either a different design for the diaphram or a slightly higher pressure diaphram. Either way I will probably replace. Picking her up today.
