is the notch in the light pattern normal????

I noticed the driverside headlight shines a little bit lower than the passenger side creating what I'll call a notch along the top edge of the light pattern, is this normal??? I can't find anything in the owers manual on this topic.

Yes, it's normal. The driver's side is lower to prevent blinding oncoming traffic.

but I thought the left one was always higher..

or am I thinking of something else?

Yes, it should look something like this, where
