Default Oil extracting pump for oil change: Anyone use one of these to change their oil?

I searched and found one post. Wanted to know if many people use these. Also do you just change the oil or do you change oil filter when using?

Default I know of few people here who've used oil extractor pump to change oil.

Personally, I've not used it. But from the posts I've read here, they seem to work great.

Others may have different views, but I change my oil every 6 months or roughly about 5k miles which ever comes first and use a new oil filter every other oil change.

Default I use one and change the filter at the same time.

Just move the coolant reservoir and the oil filter can be reached from up top as well.

you should change your filter every time you change your oil.

Default A must-have. Good for trannies w/dipstick, like my new (old) Audi 100.

I guess the secret's out.

You'e not still doing the Seafoam everytime are you? Definately there is an AW layer formed by organo-metallic additives that will get scavanged away with the solvent. You'll see in UOAs with fuel dillution that have excess, primarialy cylinder, wear that cannot be accounted for just by the reduced viscosity.
