Oil Pressure Light

About a week ago, I made a thread regarding my oil pressure light and today I finally got the part in and changed the oil pressure sensor and oil. Drove it around fine at first but after a long trip of highway maybe 45 min or so the light came back on for a couple seconds and went away. Just wondering if anyone know where can I find Audi engines for sale besides Ebay and which ones will fit my car perfectly with the same motor mounts etc. I have a 03 A4 1.8T Quattro. You never mentioned what grade of oil your running?

Before you replace the engine, you might want to consider dropping the oil pan, and cleaning out the oil pump intake screen.

Audi has a TSB out on this...

After I purchased the car I swap over to Synthetic 5w-40 and changed it every 5k. Ya I plan on having my friend doing it for me because I don't have an engine brace to drop the sub frame. I'll see how that turns out, might replace the oil pump while everything is off too. I'm just thinking more of the very negative side incase that still don't help.

pull the valve cover & pull the front & rear bearing caps to inspect

if there is a lot of sludge you'll need to clean it out & flush it, then drop oil pan & clean pickup or change it, don't bother getting oil pump, you already wasted money on oil pressure switch.

Ok, so I figured since I had plan on losing the motor anyways I figure why the hell not and did all 3 steps on here http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=105429&highlight=sludge. To see if it'll help me out. I did first 2 step and then flood my motor with diesel over night last night. Drain the diesel and dremel open that oil filter. I realized all oil came out fairly clean, the filter was clean and so did the diesel. What I did find was I had a leak somewhere in the engine that left small puddles of oil and a puddle of diesel after on my floor. Could a small oil leak somewhere be the cause of my low oil pressure when the oil is hot? I'll be replacing my valve cover gasket etc this following week. I'll see if I see any signs of sludge under there.
