Friend has it (GM product)....
My friend (pickup) and mom (Cadillac) have it. Neither of them use it.
It does sound nice but I am not sure about the premium for it and the extra monthly payment. The only thing I could see it being used for is if I lock my keys in the car.
In MPLS you need to make reservations before you are driving to the eating establishment, so I don't think this option would help. Now you could do this on the way home but just dial #555 on your ATT phone. Almost everybody has a cell phone. Same with directions. ATT has it all. No I do not work for ATT. I work for a second telco. I like it but wouldn't buy.

Forget OnStar, read the freaking privacy policy !
Read the privacy policy for OnStar, it clearly states ... we can use and share the information gathered how ever we want ... so next note you get is speeding ticket from the 10 second intravals that OnStar is taking ! Or you tell your spouse that you are working late, they call OnStar and ask to locate the car, its at a motel !

Be warned: it's a 2-way satellite phone, and they can listen in without you knowing.
I recently worked at Mercedes-Benz USA and they used to kid about this. Not that they would, but that they could.
