other 2004.5's.... is dealer supposed to use synthetic?

anybody know for certain if the dealer is supposed to use synthetic oil?

It seems to depend a lot on the specific dealer. You need to ask them what they use...

sometimes you just have to bring your own and have them use it.

I brought in my own at the first service interval and the dealer didnt say anything...

...that in itself doesnt mean much, but my previous years of experience with their service department tells me they would certainly say something if synthetic was included.
