2007 A4 1.8t,clutch and flywheel recently replaced,coolant flushed and replaced,no leaks,still overheating,fan working,doesn’t overheat as quickly if heating on high!thinking thermostat or maybe water pump??no gunk on cap so fingers crossed not head gasket,engine purrs,any thoughts welcome 🙏

Check the hose coming out of the radiator when the engine has warmed up. If it's cool it could be the thermostat. Check the water pump also
