Oxygen Sensor
When are you suppose to replace the oxygen sensor? I heard that you will get better Gas millege if you replace it, how big is the MPG will improve?
I noticed that the universal type is a lot cheaper than the OEM type, is there any difference between the two? Will it affect the car's performance or life?
Where can you buy it for the cheapest online? and about how much will the auto shop charge to install it for you?

Your oxygen sensor helps provide closed loop control of your powertrain system...m..
removing it will set the CEL and the fuel and spark will be set to default parameters (open loop) and run more conservatively. In effect, it could improve your mileage because it won't let you drive as agressively in open loop mode than in closed loop mode.
If you want to save gasoline, accelerate slower from traffic lights or stops signs and maintain lower tops speeds when on the highway. No need to fiddle with the O2 sensor.
