Painting Interior Trim......
I would like to paint the interior trim black instead of buying carbon fiber or whatever. But I don't want it too glossy. I'd like a matte finish. What paint do I use and what can I use to protect it from chipping? TIA

you know, i was watching (m)
rides like 2 weeks ago, and they painted Titus' explorer with carbon fiber look. they used a mesh over the base coat. it actually looked pretty sweet, and very cheap alternative.

it was just like a plastic mesh that they laid on top. But
they didnt' show them actually apply coats over that. SO i am not sure how the final look was acheived. but they did a large stripe around the vehicle.

used wood stain on my 2.8...
not sure what will work on your trim though. i would assume stripping the trim and then painting it a flat black and then using some type of non gloss protectant would yield a similar result. if you search the archives kenny[turbo dremel] painted his beltline trim and i believe he wrote a tech article. hope this helps. good luck.
