Default Picking up our A4 3.0 this saturday! help :)

My wife and I will be picking up our 03 A4 3.0 this saturday (my mom will be driving our Audi until she gets her new car)

What are the things to look out for? I made a list...please advise/criticize

1) Check exterior/interior for scratch
2) Make sure the salesman go over EVERY feature with us
3) Perhaps have them put down in writing about the loaner car program before we drive off
4) Get a free club?

ANything else? I will put down more later

Default Check the paint CAREFULLY...

My car is just 3 weeks old and it's already in the body shop because of a messed up paing job on the bumper. I did not notice this at delivery.

It is being fixed under warranty, I just wish I would have noticed at delivery.

1.8T_O.C., can you describe the paint problem your car has?

Make sure you check the keyless entry remotes. The dealer forgot to program them prior to delivery!

Default Re: 1.8T_O.C., can you describe the paint problem your car has?

I am sure it was just fluke...

But, there were several areas on the rear bumper where the the paint was lighter in color than the rest of the car. The clearcoat was perfect, the paint underneath in those areas was just a totally different shade of silver.

Also, as I was noticing this (I found it the first time I washed the car), I also noticed several drips in the paint job. This was also on the rear bumper down where the bumper meets the gray lower.

I have come to the conclusion that the car was probably damaged while at the port or in transit. I am told this is quite common. They don't have to declare anything as long as the damage was less than $500. These types of repairs are done right at the dock! And, obviously, they did a bad job.

That is my theory. I'll never know for sure. Dealer says they have no record of any work done on the car before I got it. And, I can't imagine the factory would have screwed up the paint like that.

Anyway, it's getting fixed under warranty so I am happy. Dealer was great about it. I just learned that I need to look more carefully next time I get a new car. Don't just assume that because it's new that it's perfect.
