I like to have different headlights to stand out from the crowd so I decided to do the US Amber style running lights ( I'm in the UK). I've also swapped out the standard filament sidelights for Super Cop white bright LEDs.

I utilise the existing wiring and drilled a small 4 mm hole through the indicator bulb holder and inserted a twin cable. I made a custom bulb holder to take the 5w wedge amber side light and tied this in to the existing side light loom, simple.

The indicators are 21 Watts compared to the running lights at 5 Watts therefore you can easily see them when you indicate, video link below:
