Yeh, well the cr@ppy stock clutch is a "limiting factor" as well

My B5 was a tip, and I hated it. Went to a manual TT Roadster and a manual B6

Good point, I'd get a CVT if it came with Quattro.

Default Manual - some people drive and some people DRIVE. If you are a DRIVER, manual is the only way to go.
Performance and vehicle control make manual the choice.

Default True. But clutch upgrades are readily available (at some cost) if you choose to go w/ a big turbo.
I don't know of any aftermarket torque converters for the auto tranny. Like I said before, it's better for my financial sake. :^)
