Default Poll: Is your CVT noisy?

Meaning, do you hear weird little noises when backing up or crawling?

Default the times that i've driven a CVT when backing up, it seemed to make a whirring noise

almost like driving an electric golf cart...i dunno if that's what you're mentioning, but if i recall correctly that had been my experience

Default start up noise

I usually warm up my 1.8T til the idle drops below 1k rpm (about a minute, enough time to smoke really fast outside), there's this new noise coming outta the engine, kinda like a murmur...anyone else hear it?

Could be the brake calipers aligning themselves - dealer said this was normal.

Default shouldnt hear weird little noises all the time when backing up

or crawling... the system does use a multiplate clutch to simulate the crawling so it should make some kind of noise as it engages or disengages, perhaps this is what you speak of?
