Default Problem with ESP Light HELP!!!

once in a while, while driving, my ESP light will come on and wont go away... the only way to get rid of it is by shutting engine off and starting it again... i've searched and found that a faulty brake switch could keep the ABS and ESP on... i dont get the ABS light at all so would it be the same problem?

Default When the ESP light stays on is an indication your MAF (more)...

It an indication that Mass air flow sensor is going past the highest allowable value for the MAF sensor. What kind of software are you running (ABT, REVO, APR, GIAC, DBR)? There is the possibility that the M.A.F. might be bad. If you have a VAG-com check the first three measuring blocks. Look at the box that has g/ms. At idle the MAF reading should be 2.2 to 3.6 g/ms. As you accelerate the value should go up. Good luck with finding the issue.

With regards,
Pedro
