Quattro effect
Is it because the quattro is better at the first few seconds of acceleration because it sticks the ground better, where as the front wheels of the lighter 1.8T tend to spin?
thanks
4 wheel peel out and all that torque... yeah that helps.
Launching a FWD when the front tires are on a crosswalk paint strip (and wet)... that's not so good. =)
P.S. I guess I should explain that repeated launching (manual tranny) by reving and dropping the clutch is what punishes the clutch and gives the best 0-60 times. Usually the people who obtain those numbers for magazines do not own the cars they are testing... So who cares about the cost of a new clutch?
