Default Random misfires - need assistance

Hey...new guy here! My car is currently throwing the following codes: 16685..86..86 and so on (A4 FWD 1.8T). I read a post yesterday regarding the same issue but the difference is that my car is right now extremely lazy! From what I can fell/hear, it sounds like there is pressure leak somewhere near the air intake. The car is also revving like crazy, 4,000rpm @20mph. The car is at the dealer right now but they have not been able to diagnose the problem yet. I'll appreciate any suggestions. Regards

Default this may help, but not totally fix

when i was @ dealer last week, my guy told me high octane gasoline could cause misfires. this was a notice right from audi. he said they advise against 93 octane. go to 89 (mid). this will decrease misfires, bad startups, and cause better gas milage. this is assuming you have a stock car btw.

but this probably isnt the root of the problem. just a tip.

Default Re: coilpacks?

After a week the dealer called me today saying they found a cracked vac line close to the air box. Then again they have said they found the rpobelm two times already and I still do not have a car. As for coil packs, should I change them after 42K miles? I read about the issue back in Feb 06. I bought my car on June 03, is the car exposed to the problem??? Since the parts are not expensive, should I change them just to go on the safe side? What you think?

Well, I have run in 93 42K miles. The dealer states it wasa vac lines and I should have the car on monday. Now I'm more worried about the coil packs, should I change them after 42k miles. Oh! forgot to say, my car is chipped and is a Tip. When running hard on first/second I hear a sound from the engime bay like a sudden electrical shock/current. Is like the car is asking for more from the pwoer supply. Should it be the spark plugs/coil packs? Thanks for the advise.
