Would anyone know the dimensions of the largest rectangular object that could be installed inside the right hand rear compartment of the 2004 A4 Avant where the factory amp and sub are? As a for instance: I am wondering if the Alpine MVR - F450 power amp would fit. It's dimensions are: 16-1/2" L x 11-13/16" W x 2-3/8" H. I am hoping to have purchased all the equipment for my car stereo upgrade before I start to tear the interior apart. Of course this means that I must rely on the sage advice of all of you who have already walked this path! I have seen the photo of the JL Audio 500/5 amp installed in that space, but its width is only 9-1/4". I am also considering the Hifonics ZX 8000 with a 10-1/2" width. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
