Read wiper change issue
Hi there. Possible a simple issue but who knows...
I need to change the read wiper arm on a 2003 B6 station wagon. I have the part from a supplier so I popped off the cover, picked up the water jet part off the deck, undid the 13mm nut and slid the old broken arm off. It then became clear the new part won't fit as what could be part of the wiper motor prevents it (see pictures). Is this bit broken from the old arm and rusted in place? or have the parts shop sold me the wrong type (it seems correct in all other respects)?
Advice welcome. Happy father's day to those also facing repair frustrations.
Here you can see the part removed and the part of what seems to the motor which prevents to the new one sliding on
With the old one next to the new one, you can see the size difference in the holes. Is it cos the old one has has be broken over use and the inner section is rusted on or have I been sold the wrong part?
