Default Scratches on my car even before I take delivery. What should I do?

The scratches appear to be in the clearcoat and not too bad. Nevertheless, I am a bit upset. Should I have any concerns assuming that the dealer knows what the hell they are doing? I am fairly certain the scratches happened after the car was delivered to the dealer because they are located in an area that would be covered by the vinyl protection installed at the factory. Again, the scratches do not appear to be that bad but I am not crazy about the thought of someone touching the brand new Brilliant Black paint. Should I be concerned?

The good new is the car came with the tire I wanted. :-)

Find out what the dealer is willing to do about the scratches...

Default Thanks, your tellin' me. I think that I could probably remove them by hand with light to moderate...

rubbing using IHG. I think. How much rubbing is too much on a paint job that is only a month old? That is my concern.

Default I am sure I will get "Oh ya, we can get those out." Maybe they can and I have nothing to worry about

Nevertheless, I was to cover all my bases.

Default I recently painted a hood with Black base coat/clearcoat...

in urethane on a Saturday, then on Sunday completely wet sanded it with 2000 grit and buffed to perfection. Your paint is cured well enough to buff. Do you know how many A4's arrive in port where they are damaged to the point they repaint panels...more than you could imagine! Many new A4's are buffed before delivery. A good cleanup guy will do a great job!

Default I own a black car now and these scatches would even be noticeable on red, blue, gray, brown, etc.

At least to a keen car person.

If anything, it might give you a little bit of leeway trying to negotiate a price...
