So Audi is having a 24-hour test drive experience...
And I've been interested in getting a TT250 DSG. Still on the wall about it.

My 24-hour test drive car with a 2004 TT-180 FWD Tip Coupe Ocean Blue with the Aviator Gray interior. It had the premium package and bose system package.

To sign up for the 24-hour test drive experience you have to be at least 25 years old. You are also only suppose to drive up to 100 miles.
First impressions. The TT is amazing. Although I'm not a pilot and I've never really been in the cockpit of an airplane, sitting in the Audi TT is exactly what I would imagine it would be like.
In the dry, the TT is amazing. Light, nimble, handles well. There is virtually no body roll with this car. The body roll in the B6 isn't bad, but compared to the TT, the B6 feels like a boat! FWD was nice not having to carry around all that extra weight. The car had ContiExtreme Contact tires. My first experience with this tires. Meh, it was okay. I think the Dunlops had better grip, but since this is my first time driving the TT it could be anything.
I guess its due to the smaller cabin, but the BOSE in the TT sounds better than the B6. Its a single disc indash headunit with a 6-disc changer in the back seat.
The seats are definitely more comfy. In my B6, I tend to start to get uncomfortable after about 2 hours of driving. I sat in traffic this morning for about an hour and a half and I felt like I could drive the TT all day. It could have been just pure excitement of driving the TT, but I didn't feel quiet as fatigued as I do when I drive the A4.
So to top off my 24 hour test driving experience, it was storming BAD this morning. Yay! Let's give this TT FWD a feel for the extreme. While it did fair well, it just didn't feel as well planted to the ground. When hitting some light hydroplaning, it behaved like a typical FWD and it just pulled itself in the direction it drifted to. Maybe I just wasn't used to the CEC tires, but I no likey. Gimme back my Quattro.
I had to turn in the car this morning. Talked to my salesman about leasing options. I need to read up more on that, as I think I want to lease a TT250. Not sure yet.
Well, so the other reason I signed up for the 24-hour driving experience was because my car was going back to the dealer for some maintenance work. Minor issues that needed to be addressed:
drivers side headlight motor intermitently doesn't autolevel.
power lumber button on driver side doesn't always make contact.
some wierd peeling on the center console trim, so the entire trim is being replaced.
my drivers side door trim handle was worn out, so replaced under warranty.
my drivers side window makes an awkward grinding noise when rolling the window up.
Then some minor squeeks and creeks in the rear seat and in the instrument cluster are going to be looked at.
Nothing major, just minor problems. When I turned in the TT this morning, they noticed that my leather was all cracked and torn, so they are going to get an Audi regional rep in to replace my leatherette seat. We'll see how that goes.
They weren't done with my car today, so I got another loaner. A 2004 1.8T CVT. Wow the tranny is wierd. Slowly getting used to it, but hopefully not for too long.
I plan on going skiing this weekend, so if I don't get my car back by tomorrow, I'm gonna need a Quattro loaner for the weekend. *sigh*
Well thanks for listing to my little rant about my A4 and my TT driving experience...
Here's more pics of the TT I test drove.

Planet_Acid's. I'm sure my baby is going to come back better than ever.
I bribed my Service Advisor yesterday with krispy kremes. Today with Noah's bagels.
We'll see well things fair tomorrow.
Hey, I'm going up to South Lake Tahoe this weekend. You up for some snow time?
