Contacted "Elite Auto Glass" in SoCal [949-707-0900] and they use the PPG "Premium". Just doesn't have the Audi logo on it. They weren't sure about any differences though and mentioned that PPG was one of the biggest suppliers of auto glass..... I'll go ahead and get it.

Dealer quotes for OEM glass were less this time ($273, $257,....). I just called a couple to compare again. They mentioned something about a change during '03 with it (part's # maybe) and needed my VIN.

Default The old flying rock trick...

I was on my way to get a quote for the damaged that was done to my passenger side, and while on the freeway, some car crossed lanes in front of me and just happened to kick it up. It made contact right at the side edge (passenger). Split in 3-4" (now about 5-6").

SoCal freeways are so dangerous. I had to replace the winshield on my VW twice within a year or so. Too much traffic and too much debris on the roads.

Default CA FREEWAYS SUCK!

I hear that man! I can't tell you how many times I just merge on the highway and some dumbass cement, asphalt, gravel, construction truck is cruising down the highway just spilling **** all over the freeway! I've been fortunate in my new Audi so far but I haven't been as fortunate in my previous cars.

I had a coworker replace his g35 windshield 2 times within a year. The crack started out to be 1/2 inch and grew to about 2 feet before he had to bite the bullet.

It sux out here!
