Static problem with Bose
So I listen really closely and notice it is on all the speakers, so it isn't a speaker problem. I showed this to the service manager, and he said he'd check techline for any reports on this and get back to me. In the meantime, I noticed (or rather my girlfriend noticed) that the window and door lock controls on the passenger door (where they replaced the second speaker) no longer operate.
I'm not putting down my dealership, they've been fine, and compared to some problems others have had this is pretty minor. But I am curious if anyone has seen problems like this with their Bose? Does anyone have any idea what would cause this? It isn't interference from the engine, the static is present even with the engine off and the key in the accessory position. I am wondering if it might just be easier to ask them to replace the entire Bose unit and see if that helps. I payed an extra $600 for the Bose, so I'd kind of like for it to sound better than the $150 CD player I got from Best Buy for my previous car
