Default Suprise! Lug wrench wont fit sport wheels

Went to rotate tires today and was very surprised to fing that the lug wrench was too small for the nuts in my 17" wheels. I'm going to have a word with my dealer.

Default Those are lug nut covers. You need to pull them off to uncover the real lug nuts.

You should have a large tweezer-like tool in your glove compartment.

Default Plastic covers

thats right. There are little plastic covers on the lug nuts that have to be removed. You should check before you have an "embarrassing" word with your dealer.

Default Re: Plastic covers

Do the 16" optional wheels require that same tool to remove the plastic covers? If so, I am missing the tool and need to see my dealer.

Pretty sure they all have the covers and require the tool, which is usually found in the glove box.

16" caps are removed with a wire hook located in the tool kit.
