Default Suspension gurus: have you ever come across frequent variance of left/right suspension ride height?

Since I got my Eibach/Konis installed (along w/ OEM Sport bumpstops), I've noticed that sometimes the left rear will be 1/4" lower and the right rear 1/4" higher and vice versa. I'll drive out of my garage with the back end "tilted" slightly one way and then park it at another destination and find it tilted the other way or back level again. I sometimes notice the same thing on the front end. After STA I haven't found any definitive conclusions.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe the bumpstops are wedging into/popping out of the plastic dust boot non-uniformly and causing the slight differences in left and right ride heights. If the springs were sagging they would tend to stay that way wouldn't they?

Anyway, I'm not terribly worried about it but I am very curious to know what causes this. TIA!

Default Affirmative. I had a heck of a time trying to adjust my KWV2s because of this.

Even with the coilovers, I still couldn't get each wheel the same height. Agreed, there is always one wheel off by a 1/4 inch.

lol :^) Don't worry, I only compare the ride heights when the car's level.

Interesting. I didn't think it'd be an issue w/ COs. hmmm....

Coilovers are independently height adjustable so it can easily become an issue.

Default Same thing here, but I chalked it up to fuel level...now I'm not so sure.

I've been corner balanced and assured that everything's adjusted correctly. But the heights still change left to right in the rear depending on where and how I park.

Default Overcome, yes, easy, not! It took several attempts to even things out.

... and they're still prone to changes.

Default Stock suspension does the same! The height difference can be up to 1/4 inch ...

on different days (always measured with full tank and in my garage.)

Default Read it again. I was stating that obtaining an even height with coilovers can easily become...

an issue as they are independently adjustable. Fixed springs generally are set up to be even.
