Default Is there anything between Neuspeed Sport & Race?

I have heard on the board that neuspeed race is too low and it will cause camber problems as well as ride not being very comfortable on stock sport shocks. I am thinking of going neuspeed sport now but is there something that's little lower but not as low as the race ones? what about eibach prokit? do they have sportlines for audis? what about h&r? thanks guys

So What should I get? Neuspeed Sport,Race or H&R sport? It seems like with Neuspeed sport, you can't really notice the drop? Anyone on H&Rs yet? C'mon more people respond! stop looking and reply! haha lol

Default have you considered coilovers? that might achieve what you want, but with a very tight ride.

tight rides are good.

Default Have you considered you have to put scales under all four wheels to adjust them right?

Otherwise you end up with worse handling. Too much work and trouble for a street car.

Default I totally disagree...

If you are setting a car up for racing maybe... I've had numerous sets of coilovers on different cars over the years in this is totally not true.

First off, has anyone ever seen a suspension shop with a corner weighting scale? Maybe in a race shop.

Lowing springs simply reduce spring travel. Coilovers retain full spring length in most cases, and lower the travel, not reduce it.

Its also a common misconception that C/Os ride harsher than lowering springs... Shorten the spring and reduce the ride quality. Retain the full length spring and retain the suppleness.

For example... on my B5 I had:

Eibach springs with stock sport shocks = harsh and bouncy

Eibach springs with Bilsteins = waaaay to harsh, totally not matched.

H&R Street Coilovers = supple ride, matched springs/shocks, zero dive and roll.

Another fact is... the lower you setup a c/o, the more complaint the ride becomes... raise them, and tighten down the preload... you gain clearance, but the ride stiffens.

Default Re: I totally disagree...

I would really want coil overs but I really don't know how many times I would actually adjust them. Plus they are WAAAY more $$ than I would like to spend. I do not know what to do I have heard h&rs are having problems with the 02-03 ones. So is H&R sport between neuspeed sport and race as far as lowering height? What do you suggest I do Rich_W? I would really like springs and I am not going to change shocks. Unless I win the lottery I don't plan on spending over 1000 on suspension. Even cupkit seemed like alot to me. Should I just save up and get a cupkit instead?
