Night Shot at driveway.
Well it took me an entire Sunday to install them myself...but I was taking breaks in between tasks. Removing the Stock Exhaust was the tough part..especially when trying to get to reach the bolts at the downpipes.Trick is using alot of "PB" Penetrating catalyst/lubricant to soak and loosten the rusty bolts. Taking the hangers out of the rubber support was also a chore...so I sprayed lots of WD40 and a screwdriver to twist and pop them out.
Install wise, the "Thermal" bolted on pretty easy and it took me less than half the time compared to removing the OEM pipes. After some adjustments to center the Tips,I'd gave it a test ride.
Well, for me, the Thermal Street idles nicely, but when revving the engine it does announce its presence and is considerably louder than stock....Nice low muted growl though. The car revs up somewhat quicker now..On my test drive, There is considerable improvement on acceleration...If the Street can improve my car's acceleration, The Race version must be a Blast... Entering the highway,I was able to hit 80mph quicker than I expected..My car is Chipped so the new exhaust must have help enhanced its performance.
But while driving around I developed some reverberation inside the car when I'm accelerating hard....I was even wondering if Eurocode delivered me the Thermal Race pipes and not the Street!?...Its actually a little loud already for people sitting at the backseat and enough to crank your stereo a little louder to listen to music. When I got back to the house, I noticed the exhaust tips where now sticking out much more than before...must be the heat making the pipes expand...but the tips went off centered again..I'd give the exhaust time to settle on the supports before re-adjusting them.
But I was worried about the vibration I'm feeling in the car when driving hard....Upon inspecting my car all over, I discovered my APR Snubmount had split open, and is about to fall off its support basket on the bracket!!!Never heard of a Snubmount failure before? Not sure if the snubmount just failed that day or if it was slowly splitting open way back when...well atleast I know whats my next project will be. Thanks to Eurocode for the prompt delivery on my Thermals. The finish of the pipes are impeccable..Hopefully replacing the snubmount would solve the vibration.

When I 1st saw it, I kept looking at it and can't believe it would split like that....its still in the catch basket but it looks like its close to falling off.
You think APR has a warranty on their Snubmounts???

I've got a Neuspeed that I'm modifying to round it like the APR to lessen vibrations. However...I'm wondering is it material or shape that caused yours to split. Neuspeeds squar'ish design has a lot more material and sits it snug into the catch.
