Default The same thing happens without a short shifter...

I only use the arm rest when I know I'm going to be on the highway for a while. It drives me nuts to have to adjust it every time I get in the car.

Your e-brake hits your armrest? How far does it pull up before it is engaged? Mine goes 30° max.

Default Ya it pissed me off too, I found it more comfortable to just not

use the armrest, it's always up in my car.

Default Poor design...they should have incorporated a cut out for the ebrake and got rid of the weak cup

holder(s)!

Problem would be that you couldn't reach into the cutout to push the button to release the e-brake
