Tiptronic programming
Is there a link to an explanation of how/when the Tiptronic will override your commands?
I know it will downshift automatically when you come to a stop if you haven't already. Does it hold the car at redline or upshift for you?
Just drove a G35, which will not upshift, but has the most bizarre manumatic I have ever encountered: it acts like a traditional automatic up to the gear that you have selected. For example, if you stick it in "4", it will do nothing differently from "D" other than prevent the car from going into 5th gear!!! How is this different from a regular automatic?!?!? If you put it in "5" and give it some gas (not floored), it will downshift if it feels like it needs to. Otherwise a pretty interesting car...

Short of suddenly flooring the throttle, will it override the seletion? For example, slowly pouring on gas but eventually flooring it?
