Tire opinions.... (m)

Everyone who has the Sumitomos likes them. Dunlop, Goodyear & 1 other are owned by Sumitomo.
I found myself in 2 inches today, unplowed and my A2s were still grippy with only 3&4/32nds of tread. My Contis go on monday, expecting good things.

what would you recommend as the best all season tire to just be able to go anywhere..(m)
I usually drive my Cherokee in the winter, but I think it might need a new tranny, so i'm trying to be prepared. I drive alot up in Vermont, where the snow is pretty crazy sometimes. I just wanna make sure I'll be able to handle it all.
I just want to buy snow tires, since they're $$ and I wouldn't really be able to use 'em in the summer if I needed to.

If you can swing the Michelin XGT, get it.I think SP5000s are great, some people don't.What size, 17
Turanza H are sweet, but expensive. I got the Conti's now but a steady diet of 20 or so A2's in service says they are the one to beat. A definate 9 out of 10. Quiet and great in snow, a benchmark for me.
