Default Tire wear

I have a 2003 Audi 1.8t with quattro and the sports package (17" 235 45's). I only have 17,500 miles on it and my tires are really beginning to wear out. Does anyone else have this problem? Also, do you know if the tires are carried under the warranty?

I have the continentals, these tend to wear quickly??? Does anyone know about the Pirelli PZeros? I'm thinking about replacing mine with those.

Default I have same car, got 30.5 K out of tires

I got 30.5 k miles out of my Continental Sport summer only tires. I was down to the cords on one of the front tires. The tires actually seemed to perform better after 15k, probably because there was less tread to squirm.

Noisy after 15k, but still perform well

I think that's to be expected with performance tires.

Default Re: Tire wear

I ran mine until one of my tires basically melted from the belt showing....

I think I pushed it to 21k miles....

no, tires are not covered under warranty....especially wiht 17,500 miles on it.

low profile tires...don't plan on getting 40k miles
