tried to start car this morning - APR's software wigged out again, now my air bag light is on....
I wouldn't think that the ECU would have anything to do with the air bag system but something else that happened leads me to believe that it can. The non-start thing has happened before and the way I get around it is to switch back to the stock program, start the car, then turn it off and switch back to the 93 program, then start it again. This has always seemed to clear away any glitches. Well, this time it didn't really work. The engine cranked for quite some time after switching back to the 93 program before starting. Once it started the ABS, ESP, and air bag light were on. I stopped the engine and switched back to the stock program. The engine started OK, the ABS and ESP lights were off but the air bag light was still on. Thinking that I might be able to clear whatever code was thrown, I tried cycling the ignition 20-30 times. No change - the air bag light was still on. I'm about ready to call APR and complain again. the last time I called (about 6 months ago) they said they knew about the no-start problem and were working on a fix. I have not received any word from them since saying that they have fixed it. What do you all think of this?

With ETC systems, there is sometimes an airbag deployment
indicator going to the ECU so that it cuts off fuel in the case of an airbag deployment. There could be some relationship going on, and it may be your airbag module, not the ECU. With the change of program, you may be resetting the ECU such that the input is cleared (upon a power-on reset) and that allows you to start the car.
Now, if APR knows something about it and accepts some responsibility, the above info I typed sounds wonderful and all but may be worthless.

Called APR - they said there is an updated software available - going to KTR on Fri for the update..
KTR said they would view and clear any codes for me. What irks me is that I specifically was told by APR that I was on a list of people to be contacted once an updated version was available. I wonder how long the new version has been out and why I was not notified.
