turning off ESP has become second nature after ignition... puts some life back into my 1.8 dog
#2
My friend VAG-COM'd his VW 337 to have ESP turned off forever. However.....
I for one would rather have the safety feature turned on at all times, it's there for a reason. I don't think you lose much power, you just can't spin the wheels so much, that's all....

swore by it in the snow + foul weather, BUT...
Just lately since its gotten warm/nice its been quite noticeable turning it on and off.
More often than not lately its seems overly sensitive...
For the past week turn it off every time I start, and the car feels a lot less, uhm, tame while zipping around town, more sporty feeling...
I'm just looking for solace until I can port and polish the damn head and put a real turbo in...
