Update on my stoptech issues....
He thought it was either 1) pad still movign too much in carrier or 2) pads needed more bed time.
So to alleviate 1, Saturnine and myself bent the inner carrier tabs so that the carbotech pads backing plate was higher than the carrier lip - allowing the spring to press down more on the pad.. hopefully keeping it in place.
To alleviate 2, I went out for 10 more hard 70/80mph to 5 mph stops. It seems like bending the tabs didn't help much, as I noticed the clunking/clicking right away. However, I did stand on the brakes harder this time than the first bedding runs.. and the clunking went away after the 6th or so run.
The pulling was initially bad also. However, after the 6th or so run, it got better also. I wonder if it had to do with the bedding alone?
In any case, Matt suggests that it may take 3 full sets of 10 70/80mph to 5mph bed runs to get the brakes working properly. He says that if they aren't after that, then there's something that needs to be looked at.
I'll see how it goes tomorrow evening when I do some more bed runs.
