Vibration while accelerating?

Default Vibration while accelerating?
All of a sudden while driving on the freeway the car started to vibrate while under load, but when I take my foot off the gas the car smoothes out. Same on the street. There is a little vibration when starting, but basically the problem is when you step on the gas, almost a slight clunking as well. The car has 70,000 mi. Could this be motor mount? Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated, before heading to the dealer.

1.8T or 3.0? Check Engine Light (CEL) on or off? If on was it blinking or solid?

Thanks. 1.8T and the check engine light never came on.

Might be your sparks or coil going bad... VAG it.

Another possible cause is a bad CV joint or a bad universal joint in the propeller shaft.

posible CV joint - look under your car and look for tears in the boot
