Warranty Issue?
I'm bringing my car in tomorrow for a quick check of the brakes, and also to have them fix the front left speaker, which is cutting out routinely. My issue is that installed in my stereo I have the Blitzsafe adapter for my iPod, as well as my cell phone install harness: two things which aren't supposed to be there according to Audi. I have no way of removing my stereo before then (my tools are 200 miles away). What I need to know is, will the dealer call me out on it? Obviously neither of these things is causing the speaker to cut out, I'm sure its a loose connection of some sort. However, I worry that they won't fix it because those components are installed. Any advice on this? My option is to not have them look at it tomorrow and wait til I can remove those components and bring it back in, which would be several months (and that speaker is driving me a little crazy!) Thanks

if they call it on you, tell them to show you proof.. call BS..
act as if you know your sh*t.. make them PROVE TO YOU that your modifications screwed everything up.. make them take 20 mins aside to show you.. if they don't.. you won and your fine.. if they do.. question the hell outta them.

driver's speaker cutting out is a common problem - its a short in the wire harness.
Does the speaker click back on with volume adjustments?
They should be able to fix it under warrenty since it's not the HU causing the problem.
