What do you guys think about 48 mo. leasing? Too long?

Lease payments vary throughout the year as the residual comes down due to it being closer
to the new model year. Often, banks or auto manufacturers will try to offset this with a lower money factor ( like interest ). Check with your dealer for what programs are happening now. This is the best time to get the car, as these deals are sure to be cut back or removed for the peak summer season. Also, the miles per year that you contract for, will affect the residual ( more miles = lower residual = higher payment ).
Leasing for 48 months is a good way to keep the payment at the lowest possible. Any longer, and the payment often isn't much lower - certainly not enough to justify another 12 months with a car now out of warranty.
Audi bases residuals on projected wholesale values, not retail. This means a slightly higher payment, but allows you to buy, sell, or trade the car about 2/3s to 3/4s through the lease and be in a break even position. This is possible because the A4 is a popular car with high demand and good resale.

I'm paying base 575 and 617 (w/sales tax).
I put around $3000 down (but got a $600) credit, no sec depost (cause I just finished leasing another audi) and used my refuned sec depost towards the down payment.
My sticker price was about $41,400.

Do you think you'll be tired of the car before 48 mos. ? (more...)
Everytime I tell someone I'm gonna lease for 48 mos. they say I'm gonna get tired of the car before then. Just curious about how others feel about this.

Well my last lease was a 36mo lease. I was itching to get into a new A4 and the timing worked out great. However, in 4 years there probably won't be a new A4 body, and hopefully after 4 years I'll be able to get the new S4. A lot of it is timing. My old car only had a 36 mo warranty, but the new Audis are 48 months. So I think I'll be fine.
