Default What are my options, what who you do???

My 2002 A4 (1.8t) has gone through three (3) cylinder one coil packs. I'm not one to jump to drastic measures like lemon laws but what else can I do. All three have gone within 2 months. My wife (her car) is getting to the point that she wants her old '99 Saab 9-5 back (and that's saying a lot).

Just wanted to get some feedback and advise on this.

Thanks.

Default Seriously talk to AOA about buying the car back and getting you a new one.

They are reasonable people and, if you respect the process, you might come out on top with a new car for her and all the headache behind you.

Default I would sit down with the service manager ( make an appointment and take notes ) and go

over the faults you've had with the car. Ask them to make an appointment with the zone rep, to go over the car. Whether they are going to try and fix it once and for all, or replace it, you will need to go through this step. Get it over with now. You never know, it could be fixed !

Zone reps are very astute machanically, as well as numbers crunchers. For them, they balance lemon law vs buy-back vs the tech just not having the experience to fix it right.

If things progress so far as to consider lemon law, make sure you have documented every conversation with the dealership and AoA. The more evidence you have of trying to work through this, and following up on your side, the smoother it goes in possibly getting a buy-back ( Audi buys your old car, and gives you a new one instead of lemon lawing the car ).
