WHAT?!?!?!?! No leather for 1.8T!??!?! How can it be?

Because it's Plastic vs Cowhide
Chemical Engineers have made the material that wears like iron. Now it does not breathe like leather so expect to sweat a lot during the summer. Also it does not absorb like leather so it will be colder in the winter. Leather actually absorbs moisture and heat which is probably a reason it wears out. That it is somewhat like your skin it expects to have cells replaced over time but once the cow is dead...

well I don't sniff my seats, but I have "new car" smell in general..
I don't have a leather smell, but that's such a trivial thing when your talking about $6k difference. If your sister is that trivial with her money, more power to her I guess. The 6sp reason is the only good one she has IMO.
I still agree Audi should offer leather in the 1.8T, but I'm sure they never will. It's a way to make people spend more money, which is apparently going to work in this case.
