When can I order the '03 A4? April/verdegrrl?
Before I mod my car it might be cheaper to just buy the '03.
Guess I want to know if the '03 will have more hp, sport seats, maybe a bigger engine, and a new sport rim.
Also how much can I expect to sell a 1 year old A4 for? Low miles at this point. But I guess I will have to trade to save on Tax.
As always thats for the dealer point of view. =)

June would be the earliest to order an '03. Car would come in late Sept/early Oct.
Not likely to see a power bump until '04 or even maybe '05. The TT 225hp gets a 2.0t next year to make 245hp. Given how different the layout and engineering happens to be, it will take a while to trickle down, even if it is feasible - the current 225hp TT is vastly different from the A4.
As for trade-in, much depends on the demand and time of year. If people keep seeing such large discounts, I would expect to see the car between $2K and $3K "back of book". Meaning 2 to 3 K below KBB wholesale. For newish still in production cars, take the discounts currently being offered on the new ones, multply it by 2 to 3 times, and then deduct from KBB wholesale. So if the average is 1K discount on a new A4, 2 to 3K will be normal for the used A4.
Best time to trade in, is July or August. The worst time to buy though, because prices will be highest.
